THE TALENT // ERIK ANDERSON
Erik Anderson has been athletic from the jump. His father – a former college athlete – signed him up for wrestling at age 5. From then on it was all about training, discipline, and way too many push-ups. That’s how he learned that “you can physically conquer any goal if you put your mind to it.”
His first real taste of the fitness world came when he was living in Austria. That’s where he helped his buddy, bodybuilder Onome Egger, shoot and share workout videos online. It was the first time it clicked that he could make money with fitness. He was all in.
After graduating from Claremont McKenna, he packed up for New York with a plan: become a celebrity trainer. He hustled at a gym that later expanded to L.A. When the West Coast called, he answered. Now, he runs his own training business in West Hollywood. Ask him what he thinks about L.A. and he'll keep it simple: “I love this city.”
Do you have a favorite L.A. story?
My first time in L.A. was the most iconic. Sophomore year of high school my football team played in the state-championship game in the Home Depot Center.

Setting the World on Fire by Kenny Chesney

Beach every damn time.
It’s sunrise: are you more likely to be getting up early or finally going to bed?
I’ll be up at 4am everyday until I am content with where I am in life.
