What inspires you about the Hiro Clark brand?
To me, the Hiro Clark brand is fearless in its pursuit to create simple garments with cheeky commentary.
How do you see yourself styling Hiro Clark items in your day-to-day life?
I’m obsessed with my CULT LEADER sweatshirt—it’s a staple. I really need to get the hoodie and the MEDICATED sweatshirt! I love pairing simple pieces with jeans and Chucks for a casual vibe or switching to Docs if I’m heading out.
Do you have a favorite L.A. story?
Seeing Janelle Monáe at the Viper Room before she became big. There were maybe 50 or 60 people in the room, and she absolutely killed it. Part of her set involved running off the stage, which was so small that she had to go outside and come back in. Then, with just those 60 people, she did a crowd dive. It was amazing—the best show I’ve seen and the most quintessentially L.A. thing ever.
What’s your favorite movie about L.A.?
L.A. Confidential—it perfectly captures the gritty, glamorous, and complex nature of the city’s history.
What’s your favorite L.A. soundtrack?
Anything by ScHoolboy Q and YG—they capture the raw energy and vibe of L.A. perfectly.
Where do you disappear to when it’s time to skip town?
Palm Springs—it’s the perfect mix of peace and mid-century vibes.
Who’s your biggest L.A. icon?
Etta James—her voice and legacy embody the soulful, timeless spirit of L.A.
What’s your fave Hiro Clark go-to?
The CULT LEADER sweatshirt is my absolute favorite, but the MEDICATED sweatshirt is next on my list.
Beach, mountains, or desert?
Desert—it’s where I feel most inspired.
It’s sunrise: are you more likely to be getting up early or finally going to bed?
Getting up early—it’s when I feel the most productive.
Who was your first Hollywood crush?
Pam Grier—her strength and charisma on screen were unforgettable.
